Turbo Lag

My Bro has an '07 F350 6.0 w/ AT. He has a real hard time w/ turbo lagging and is very slow to respond when need to pull out of a dead stop quickly and seems to bog a bit. This is not so much a problem when cruising or passing.

The dealer says all checks out normal, but I have heard this is a problem with the 6.0.

Unfortunately the Dealer is correct. The 6.0L Power Stroke has a turbo lag problem when just starting out from a dead stop, then after a short time it spools up and has max power. The new 6.4L has twin turbos to overcome this problem, smaller turbo helps in getting going from a dead stop while the larger one provides power while at speed. I have not found an acceptable fix for this issue yet but am actively working on it and will make a post here when I find something that actually works for a reasonable cost. Thanks, Dave
