What oil do you use in your diesel?

I personally use Amsoil 15w40 HD Diesel and Marine AME.... Workin great in my truck. I also use the Amsoil EAO filter, with no bypass. I will be eventually putting the bypass on there though.

Welcome Scott. I'm running the Amsoil (DEO) 5w-40 in my new 07 6.7 Cummins with bypass filtration. In my 2002 I had I run the 5w-30 HDD with bypass filtration and when I traded it in I had 70,000 miles on it with only changing oil filters once a year and topping off with make up oil, backed by oil analysis. Oil was still in excellent condition when I traded it in.

Hey Herb, thats pretty impressive Mileage outta the oil! Makes me very confident that I can run 25k between changes in my truck. Speaking of which, its about time for do the first oil analysis on this batch..

IMHO, I would ditch that K&N filter asap... Rotella is decent oil, but, I am a bit biased in my selection of oil and filter.

You can order a G-1451 oil analysis kit. Take a sample and send it in, you will have your results in about 7-10 days. I sent you a PM.
The K&N air filter leaves to much dirt pass thru, check out the Amsoil Ea Air filters with nanofiber filtration media, link below.

Welcome powershooter, the AME is a excellent oil. I went over 70,000 miles on my 02 Dodge Cummins with bypass filtration and oil was still good at last oil analysis when I traded for my 07 CTD.

I would like to know that.. Maybe he will chime in here. Coming from the MAN! in regards to Amsoil products, I'd trust what he says.
