Stupid cat & no noise.

Why is my down pipe from the turbo to the "cat" starting to rust?
after the cat. it is still galv-alumed.
I work the crap out of this truck
I am thinkging egt's and pressure... am I in the ballpark?

It's just a chemical reaction caused by the by products left over in the exhaust as it is blown out. Eventually it could begin to go further downstream.

Removal of the cat won't hurt anything except possibly your wallet depending on where you live and the smog laws there. You don't want to get caught without if your laws say you have to have one.

the only way you will get in trouble for not having the cat is if you had the 6.7. the turbo is considered a emmisions devise, so on the trucks made before jan 07 you will be fine without the cat.
