want more mpg

I have a 97 f-250 7.3 psd w/auto trans. 4dr short bed, 238,000 mi. What can i do to get 20 or more mpg. I also run veggie fuel from April to end of November,to cold in New York in winter

The most important thing is to make sure your truck is in a proper state of repair. Make sure all the fluids and filters are fresh, the tires are properly inflated, remove any excess weight etc....

Your next best bet is to slow down. The slower you drive the less energy needed to move the truck. If your looking for bolts on to help, start with and exhaust, then an air intake, then a programmer designed for mileage.
