Hi All,
For any of you that have seen or replied to my several posts about the Intermittent problem I have had over the past year and a half on my 7.3, I think I finally solved the problem. As intermittent as it has been, I won't know for sure for a few months, but right now I am feeling pretty good about it. I also found out why it wouldn't throw a code, which made it extra tough to diagnose.
It appears that the problem was the rotary switch on my 6-position power chip. I guess I just used it too much and it wore out. The crazy miss, surge, etc. feeling was apparently the chip defaulting to the stock power mode from the extra power mode whenever the switch would flutter on the contacts. Took out the chip, ran for a week or so in stock mode, no problems, replaced the switch on the cable and re-installed the chip. Not used to stock anymore. Where is my horsepower? Really nice to have it back.
