I have Ram 2500 with a Cummins 5.9 diesel and a auto transmisson with o/d.
I am planning on going to Amsoil synthetic in the engine and transmisson. I can not find the capacity of the transmisson in my manual and wonder if some one could give me this information.
Presently towing a 32 ft. Montana with 3 slides and hope to improve performance and longevity of this vehicle.

If just dropping the pan and adding you will need 4 qts to start, run through the gears and check level. Usually will take anywhere between 5-6 qts.

For the full benifit of AMSOIL ATF get as much of the old fluid out as possible. Yes at least 17 qts will be needed.
