Love my 6.0 except????????

Purchased my 2004 (53k miles) one year ago. Have put on 5K miles in that year with one oil change at Ford dealer. No problems at all except:

Rascal is so LOUD that I can't drive it with windows down! Is this normal for the 6.0?

If I don't take the time to warm it up in the morning (shame on me) there is a several second lag before the trans catches hold when I put it into gear. Is this a symptom of an upcoming problem?

Lastly, when I took it in for oil change I questioned service agent as to whether or not records showed any problems with this truck with original owner. He said nothing showed up but he did not run any type of comprehensive report. Is there a way I can find out whether or not all the factory recall items have been done on the truck prior to my warranty expiring next month?

Welcome to the site :) As far as I can say it should not be as loud as your saying, to me this would not be normal. And the Dealer should be able to tell you if all updates are done. They probably being lazy. As for the trans have you check the fluid level ?
Don't know much on the Ford SPD. Maybe somone else could chime in to help out.

6.0s are loud and that's normal.

Tranny shifting delay is normal when cold, just ease into it until warmed up or keep her plugged in overnight.

Ask for an OASIS report, this will show ANY work done at a dealership.
