I came on line to see if anybody had posted anything about surging and found the last post about an intermittent miss. For the last few months, about once every week or two, I have been having an intermittent surging, however, it has become more frequent in the last two weeks. It usually occurs under very light throttle while accelerating from a stop and is very slight. You can hear the rattle change and feel the slight surging as if you are bouncing your foot on the accelerator pedal. This morning it was doing it almost constantly during about a 1-mile drive. When I turned it off and restarted it 5 minutes later, it didn't do it during the next part of my errand. When I restarted again to come home it did it occassionally. One time about 3 weeks ago, when pulling away from a stop, it was real bad. It surged about 5 times as if I was bouncing the pedal really hard, actually was bouncing the truck, as if the fuel was turning off and on, then stopped and didn't do it at all for at least a week. About 4 days ago my wife came home from an errand and said that it was surging while she was cruising on the freeway at 65 mph. She said she backed off the throttle a little, switched the chip to a different setting, and it didn't do it stopped. HAS ANYBODY ELSE OUT THERE HAD THIS PROBLEM? Thanks, John

Hi John, when is the last time the fuel filter has been changed out. How about a good heavy shot of diesel fuel concentrate to the fuel for starters.

Hi Herb, The fuel filter was changed at 75,000 miles and is due in about 1,200 miles. I am at 88,800 now. I use 8 oz. of Diesel Concentrate and 4 oz. of Cetane Boost in every tank of fuel and have been doing it that way since I started selling AMSOIL about 5 years ago. How is your test going with the CJ-4 oil in your truck? Do you know anybody else that is or has tested it for long duration changes? John

Replaced the ICP yesterday. Seems to have solved the problem.
