I recently had a coolant heater installed in my 2008 F-250 6.4L. I am wondering if anyone else has experience with these as i am having a flow problem. My burner is hooked up in series with burner inlet coming from the heater core cool side outlet and burner outlet going to the water pump inlet. The burner runs for a short period of time before the temp guage is almost at normal operating temp. When i start the engine the temp gauge goes back down to cold. Before the engine is running, the inlet hose is soft and the outlet hose is hard. Both of the inlet and the outlet connections were done on the drivers side of the engine compartment. I'm pretty sure that this is a flow issue. Does anyone have any knowledge of how i can hook it up to increase the flow through the water pump, engine, and heater core? The burner is located on the frame, in front of the fuel tank. Any idea's??
Thank you.
