Truck is in the shop getting a new trans as I limped the original with a slilght tune from my EFI Live! I am going with a local builder who is building me between a Suncoast Stage III and IV. I am being told in the area of 700RWHP, which is good with me since I wont be digging into the engine for quite a while. We are using all Alto, Kolene parts. Hope to have it back by the beginning of next week.

Trans came out yesterday (Friday) and will be assembled over the weekend by my builder. He wants to get this truck up and running so he is working through the weekend, and getting the TQ converter on Monday, then start it up with fluid and run it for a test drive. Then its to the Dyno I go!

Truck/trans is running great! I love the way Jim built this thing, it shifts great. Ofcourse I adjusted the TCM tune with my EFI Live.

So, it has been a year and some change since the build and this thing flat gets it. I have towed boats and other heavy trailers along with lots of street abuse. To date the trans has performed great, minus the fact Jim had a slight brain fart and overfilled the trans on the initial fill. Thats since been resolved with a fresh fill of Amsoil TQ Drive and a new spin on. Trans temps this summer once hit 210 while driving it hard in high temps (100*).
Jim did a great job nad the trans is holding 536RWHP with no problems with a new 575 tune I am making to go in soon. 50 more HP will test it just a little more. I am sure all will go well.

Sounds like a successful rebuild. Good luck with it.
